Stefanos Tsitsipas wins the title at the 2019 ATP Finals after defeating Dominic Thiem 6-7, 6-2 and 7-6 in the final.

Both players had a difficult journey in London. Thiem needed to defeat Federer and Djokovic in the group stage and Zverev in the semifinals. Tsitsipas needed to outplay Medvedev and Zverev in the group stage and Federer in the semifinals.
The final match started better for Thiem. Despite the fact, that both tennis players had a total of 5 break points, neither of them was able to convert them. So the set was decided in the tie-break which was won 8-6 by Thiem.
However, Tsitsipas did not give up. He won 16 points out of 18 in the beginning of the 2nd set to gain an important 4-0 lead. He did not lose it in the later stages of the second set and won it 6-2.
We saw 2 broken services in the 3rd set, but the ATP Finals champion was decided by a tie-break. Tsitsipas entered it better, gaining 4-1 lead. But Thiem managed to level the score in the tie-break and kept his hopes high. However, Tsitsipas did ot lose any more points and won the tie-break 7-4. And so, after winning the Next Gen ATP Finals last year, he managed to lift the trophy in ATP Finals this year.
