The action continues at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships with three players into the Quarter-Finals including Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The Greek ace was once again facing off against Alexander Bublik who he
defeated in the semi-finals en route to winning the Open 13 Provence last week.
It was once again straight sets for the second seed with him winning 7-6, 6-4 against the Kazakh ace; who has continued his impressive start to the year.
In the match the difference saw him win 84 percent on his first serve compared to 68; he won one more break point from as many attempts. Overall a polished performance from Tsitsipas who will be aiming to go one better than last year.
Two players also continuing their brilliant starts to the year are Dan Evans and Andrey Rublev; who are set to face off in what looks like a cracking Quarter-Final.
Evans did not make it easy for himself coming back onto court just 24 hours after his brilliant opening win over Fabio Fognini to defeat Pierre-Hugues Herbert 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (9-7).
He saved three match points in the deciding set and initially came from 5-2 down to take the first set; he even trailed 4-6 and 6-7 in the tie-break. However Herbert buckled and this allowed the Briton through.
Rublev on the other hand came through a lot easier defeating Filip Krajinovic in a 7-6 (7-3), 6-0 victory and so there is that to look forward to.
