Stefanos Tsitsipas has a large coaching staff but it won't feature Mark Philippoussis anymore as the former player announced that he left the team.
Mark Philippoussis has been part of Tsitsipas' team for a while but the former player is not longer part of his team. He announced the news on social media thanking the player for giving him a chance to be part of his team. The move is widely seen as a blow to Tsitsipas, especially with the grass season coming up. That was where the former player played his best tennis and he's credited with improving the serve of Tsitsipas which was another speciality of his.
The separation comes after another disappointing outing by the Greek player and his season has been rather poor in general. Philippoussis' comment on social media was:
"thank for the opportunity of being a part of your team. It was a great ride and experience, I’m proud of what we achieved together in the short amount of time we had. I wish you health, happiness and success for your future, on and off the court!"
