The Riyadh Season Cup Exhibition in Saudi Arabia will feature high-profile matchups between the two top-ranked male tennis players, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, as well as a women's clash between world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka and Ons Jabeur (6th). The matches are scheduled for December 26th and 27th, just a week before the start of the season.
The contests will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On Tuesday, December 26th, Sabalenka and Jabeur will face off, while the men's duel between Alcaraz and Djokovic is set for Wendnesday, December 27th. The official broadcast will be on DAZN, which serves as the production and streaming partner for the Tennis Cup.

Sabalenka – Jabeur Rivalry

These two players have been vying for the top spots in the rankings over the past three years. Jabeur began the year at world No. 2 after an impressive 2022 with two Grand Slam finals at Wimbledon and the US Open. Despite a slight dip in form this year, Jabeur reached the Wimbledon final once again and ended the year as world No. 6.
Sabalenka, on the other hand, had the best season of her career by winning her first Grand Slam final at the Australian Open, allowing her to snatch the No. 2 spot from Jabeur. A few months later, she reached the US Open final to surpass Swiatek at the top of the rankings.
They have faced each other six times, with a 4-2 advantage for the Belarusian. They met twice in 2023: Jabeur triumphed in the Wimbledon semifinals (7-6, 4-6, 6-3), and Sabalenka had her revenge in the Cincinnati Open quarterfinals (7-5, 6-3).

Djokovic – Alcaraz Rivalry

The Serbian and the Spaniard alternated between world No. 1 and No. 2 throughout the season, forging a strong rivalry. Since Alcaraz took the top spot in the rankings for the first time, he has held it for a total of 36 weeks, while Djokovic is guaranteed to be No. 1 until at least the end of the next Australian Open, ensuring he will reach at least 38 weeks since Alcaraz's achievement.
Djokovic holds a 3-2 lead in their head-to-head record, facing off four times this year. Alcaraz's sole victory in 2023 came in the memorable Wimbledon final (1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4), while 'Nole secured wins in the French Open semifinals (6-3, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1) and ATP Finals (6-3, 6-2), in addition to the Cincinnati Open grand final (5-7, 7-6, 7-6).
