The 2020 US Open will be played from August 31st - September 13th as we'll take a closer look at prize money and points distribution.
Despite
many withdrawals, the 2020
US Open promises to be another stunning Grand Slam tournament. Without any change of the location, Flushing Meadows will host the second Grand Slam of the 2020 season and we'll take a closer look at the
prize money and points distribution.
Many lower-ranked players experienced financial difficulties during the ATP & WTA Tour suspension. After more than 5 months without tennis, the US Open will be a great opportunity to earn some prize money and points for the rankings.
Due to special circumstances and donations to the player relief fund, the prize money for the 2020 US Open will be a bit smaller than the previous year. The winner in singles will take $3,000,000 what is $850,000 less than last year.
On the other hand, players that won't go past the first round will get $61,000 what is $3,000 more than the last year. The prize money will be the same as the last year for those that will be eliminated in the second round. You can check the full prize money and points distribution below.
