How many conversations you and I had in person? Moral of the story is…. Why do you have an opinion. ‘What you read’ 😂 nice one
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has lambasted journalist Scott Barclay for claiming that he has changed his opinion about him.
The 28-year-old is amongst the most vocal players in the world of tennis and that has not always gone down well with the fans as well as his critics.
Recently, journalist Barclay stated that his opinion regarding Kyrgios has changed over the period of time.
“Which tennis player have you changed your opinion of dramatically over time? For me, it's Nick Kyrgios,” he said. “Used to love him and defend him religiously, now everything I hear about him makes me dislike him just a bit more.”
In response to that, the former world number 13 lambasted Barclay by stating: “How many conversations you and I had in person? Moral of the story is…. Why do you have an opinion. ‘What you read’ 😂 nice one.”
Kyrgios is currently spending a lengthy time on the sidelines after suffering from fitness concerns in the recent past. It is because of this reason he ended up missing all three Grand Slams this year.
That has definitely dented Kyrgios’ career progress, considering last year was the best he had at the higher level where he ended up playing in his first and till now the only Grand Slam final at Wimbledon.
Kyrgios ended up losing to Serbia’s legendary tennis star and current world number two Novak Djokovic with a score of 4–6, 6–3, 6–4, 7–6(7–3).
