In true Iga Swiatek fashion, she dealt out a commanding display to win the Warsaw Open on home soil 6-0, 6-1 thrashing Laura Siegemund to fulfill a long-time ambition.
Swiatek has long said about her desire to win on home soil, but she failed in that attempt last year with Caroline Garcia stopping her.
But not even having to finish off her tie with Yanina Wickmayer stopped her on Sunday afternoon as she swiftly sealed that before moving onto the next task which was the German ace.
It was always going to be a German in the final with Tatjana Maria losing out to Siegemund in the semi-finals, but it wasn't much of a match.
It was a fourth title of the season for Swiatek and a 15th career who will now move onto Montreal and Cincinnati to play in US Open warm-ups albeit with a lot more preparation and a confidence booster on her part.
Not losing a set the whole tournament, she also sealed a bagel and breadstick (winning matches with losing 0 and 1 game respectively) which she has admitted she doesn't like the notion of, but it is still dominance nonetheless.
Taking only 68 minutes to claim the win, she broke Siegemund five times and never faced a break point to improve to 2-0 all time against her.
It was a first final since the 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix for the German who had previously taken down Zhu Lin and Lucrezia Stefanini.
In a golden week for German tennis with Alexander Zverev on course to win Hamburg and Eva Lys, Jule Niemeier and Noma Noha Akugue starring in the WTA tournament, it is another shining point despite the margin of defeat.
