Iga Swiatek is into the final in Warsaw where she will face Laura Siegemund this afternoon but earlier this tournament, she beat Linda Noskova which set off an interesting statistic for the World No.1.
That being that she has never lost to anyone younger than her in 24 straight matches stretching back to 2018 in the infancy of her career.
Among those include both defeating Xinyu Wang and Coco Gauff at Roland Garros with many of her wins over the latte featuring.
Her first ever wins came against Maja Chwalinska and Clara Tauson in a Stockholm $10k and Fed Cup clash.
Supposedly also it misses two results meaning it could be 26-0. A user replied that an ITF qualifier against Clemons and qualifying one against Ventura in Auckland 2019 are also missing.
Part of this stat of course is that Swiatek herself is only just 22 but also shows her frightening brilliance in all facets and is a superb statistic overall.
Seeing off Yanina Wickmayer earlier today, her final is now underway against Siegemund as she looks to finally seal a title which has alluded her on home soil.
But with Siegemund older than her, this stat will not end or be added to this tournament at least.
