Spain’s young tennis star Carlos Alcaraz’s new video on social media showcased his fan hood of legendary Rafael Nadal.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the most highly-rated young tennis players currently playing in the men’s singles category in the circuit alongside Italy’s Jannik Sinner and America’s Ben Shelton.

In a video that appeared on social media platform X — previously known as Twitter— a 13-year-old Alcaraz can be seen expressing his admiration for Nadal for his hard work and sacrifices. "I want to be top 10 in the world. I want to be like Rafa Nadal because he trains very hard, sacrifices himself & puts in a lot of effort,” he said back then.
Nadal is often regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era, having won as many as 22 Grand Slam titles. He is by far the most successful Spanish player in men’s tennis in the Open era.
Alcaraz had a more than decent year at the highest level where he clinched his second Grand Slam title after beating Serbia’s legendary tennis star and the current world number one Novak Djokovic in a five-set thrilling final at Wimbledon with a score of 1–6, 7–6(8–6), 6–1, 3–6, 6–4.
