Alexander Zverev launched into an expletive laden tirade during his semi-final clash with Carlos Alcaraz which is still ongoing on Friday in Melbourne.
His rival had taken a timeout due to cramp which certainly irked Zverev as you cannot take a medical timeout for cramps usually so he was perhaps right to feel irked. Alcaraz took the opening two sets of their semi-final clash but the World No.1 started to feel issues on his right leg and he started to stretch in the eighth.
He closed the ninth at the
Australian Open barely able to move and he asked for a medical timeout and the doctor treated his right leg ahead of game ten. However Zverev did not like that and started swearing at the supervisor expressing his frustration. Per rules you can not treat cramp like an injury and so Alcaraz receiving treatment in reality shouldn't have happened.
Albeit Zverev took the third set from there as he attempted to take the fight to the Spaniard.
