VIDEO: Andy Murray trains in Melbourne ahead of Australian Open

Andy Murray touched down in Australia and the Brit wasted no time in getting to the courts and practicing ahead of the event.

Andy Murray started preparation for the 2022 season in Abu Dhabi taking part in the Mubadala World Tennis Championships. The Brit played very well reaching the final of the event and losing out to Andrey Rublev is a tightly contested match. Murray also avoided getting COVID-19 ending up as one of the two players that took part in the event and did not get it.

Before heading out to Australia, Murray traveled back home to spend Christmas with his family taking the chance and getting his 3rd dose of the vaccine as well. After that, he boarded a charter flight that took him to Australia where he arrived recently. He wasted no time and immediately stepped out onto the courts to familiarise himself with the conditions.

It's been a while since Murray played in Melbourne and he spoke at length about how excited he was to head back. Check out some shots from his practice below.
