Daniil Medvedev is through to the second round at the Australian Open but not without toil for the Russian who went two sets down against the World No.418 wilked Kasidit Samrej and he certainly let his frustrations get the better of him in a furious outburst.
Medvedev as he went two sets down decided to run up to the net and smash it including the net camera as he obliterated his racquet and showed an aggressive side.
But whilst he did that, he didn't go on to lose. He went two sets to one down which was the closest to an upset that happened. Albeit he will be very much hoping to not have similar next round.
Medvedev perhaps has been blighted in his preparation with the Russian becoming a father for the second time which saw him arrive late to the Australian Open. He will of course have had to battle jet leg and also a lack of match practice against a player with nothing to fear and the end result was that display.
