Novak Djokovic defeated Corentin Moutet at the 2024 Rome Open, but amidst all of the adoring fans who were present inside the arena was one who decided to take a shocking action.
Djokovic was walking down the tunnel and a water bottle was thrown from the stands down onto his head while he was signing autographs. From there, he croached down on the floor as he was attended to and dragged into the back by security guards.
Supposedly according to reports, he suffered a head injury which caused slight bleeding and was transferred to a medical centre for treatment. He suffered slight nausea, but his situation was supposedly fine and doesn't cause great concern. But a scary scene for the Serbian that someone would want to inflict damage on him.
He defeated Moutet 6-3, 6-1, but one fan decided seemingly to ruin it with their actions. Watch the video below.
