Novak Djokovic had a very vocal outburst against the umpire earlier in his match against Fritz after the frustration of playing in rainy conditions.
It was not a drama-free day for Novak Djokovic who made headlined earlier in the day after a very vocal outburst against the match umpire. The reason for it was frustration which boiled over for Novak after he dropped his serve when serving for the match at 6-3 5-4. By that time rain was already falling and making things difficult. When the match resumed a few hours later Djokovic did the right thing and apologised to the umpire saying:
"Sorry for screaming earlier, it was not okay." The umpire accepted Novak's apology replying: "No problem it's okay."
Djokovic was able to win the match after it resumed in the tiebreak and after the match he said:
"It's not the first time or probably the last time that I'm going to experience such conditions and even with that much experience behind me I still get upset and lose my cool."
Djokovic further continued saying:
"It's okay. At the end of the day, these are great lessons and I think I'll try to take away important things from this day."
