The Internazionali BNL d'Italia Rome is a spectacular event that will host ATP and WTA stars at the same time from May 9th till May 16th.
The Internazionali BNL d'Italia Rome event has been one of the few Masters even held in 2020 despite the pandemic. It served as preparation for the Roland Garros and both the ATP event and WTA event have been played. Both events return in 2021 in their usual calendar slot and once again will serve as a preparation for the French Open.
The event will feature a hefty prize pool of €2,082,960 which will be distributed among the participants. The overall financial commitment is down 39,9% compared to last years event but the winner will walk away with more money than the previous year.
The winner will receive €245,085 and 1000 points which is an enticing reward for any player. The defending champions on the ATP side is Novak Djokovic who defeated Diego Schwartzman in the final. On the WTA side, Simona Halep is defending her title won in 2020 by defeating Karolina Pliskova in the final.
