Roger Federer has been spending time in Africa in recent days and he created quite a bit of surprise when he boarded an economy flight to Johannesburg.
Roger Federer is a very busy man despite not being part of the active list of players. His travels in the past month included a trip to the US where he took part in the Met Gala as well as making his way down to South Beach to watch the Formula One Race in Miami. After that Federer took his family to Lesotho as part of his charitable actions which he leads through his foundation.
Flying Economy
The Swiss Ace then made his way to South Africa, a country which he holds in his heart by virtue of his mother being a native South African. Federer has visited the country many times and supports the Rugby of the country strongly. He was spotted boarding a flight to Johannesburg leaving more than a few people surprised.
Being one of the best tennis players in history certainly allows you certain privileges but Federer proved a simple man by boarding this flight in the economy class. The fan reacted to it by writing:
"Truly magnetised with the simplicity of legend who
himself is 20 times winner of grand slam. World’s number 1 tennis
player! Only name is enough Roger Federer. I am still feeling hard to
believe that we were in the same flight and he was just to my back seat
during travelling to Johannesburg Airport!"
Check out the video below and notice how pretty much every person sitting in the place recognises Federer. No wonder, there is only one Roger Federer and even people who are not tennis fans can spot the legendary player.
