Daniil Medvedev saw off Alexander Zverev on Thursday night at the Monte-Carlo Masters to reach the Quarter-Finals and post match as journalist Ben Rothenberg pointed out, the ATP seems to be getting the trash talk memo initially wanted by Jessica Pegula in WTA.

Pegula stated last month that she wanted the WTA to follow the lead of the ATP in more trash talk and lo and behold, Medvedev and Zverev produced.

Zverev in an interview (below) which was translated after being in German initially accused Medvedev of gamesmanship and cheating by taking a toilet break when in the former's opinion, it wasn't allowed.

But Medvedev had a simple response after his win to the issues between the pair with a cold handshake. "He served two times for the match so probably should've done better."

Zverev via sky after the tough loss vs Medvedev about the toiletbreak at 4:3 in the third "He is one of the most unfair players in the world. I take fairplay and sportmanship very serious. He does not. He takes a toiletbreak when its not possible anymore." Quote translated👇
