Russian tennis duo
Daniil Medvedev and
Andrey Rublev's
friendship is shown in hilarious practice footage.
The two are famous for their friendship and in a video that appeared
on social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — both can be seen in hilarious practice footage as they prepare for the 2024 season.
Medvedev will be hoping to improve further on what he managed
to achieve in the 2023 season. The highlight for the world number three was playing
in the final of the US Open where he lost to the world number one Serbia’s
Novak Djokovic in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. Other than that,
Medvedev also went on to win four ATP titles last season.
On the other hand, Rublev also had a more than decent season
where he ended up winning two ATP titles. His first title was Rolex Monte-Carlo
Masters in April where he defeated Denmarks’ Holger Rune with a score of 5-7,
6-2, 7-5.
His second title was the Nordea Open in July where he got
the better of Norway’s Casper Ruud in the final in straight sets with a score
of 7-6, 6-0. Rublev also managed to play in the quarterfinal of the Australian
Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.
