(VIDEO) Jannik Sinner checks on ball girl hit by Taro Daniel's serve during Shanghai Masters win

Jannik Sinner played good samaritan as the World Number One halted play to check on a ball girl who was struck by Taro Daniel's serve at the Shanghai Masters.

Sinner won through earlier today seeing off the Japanese ace to seal a spot in the next round after being given some extra time to recoup by tournament organisers.

The leading trio who are playing this week in Sinner, Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic all start today and have been given that leeway. But it makes for a stacked schedule overall.

At 6-1, 1-1, Daniel thundered a serve down which was straight out but connected with the ball girl nearest Sinner's end who looked to be in a bit of pain so Sinner asked if she was ok showing his kind side.
