The world No. 1 Jannik Sinner had a special visit in the middle of his warm-ups before stepping out to play his third round match at Wimbledon. While he was training ahead of facing Jenson Brooksby, none other than former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki approached him to have a conversation.
The Italian had a short chat with the Dane before going onto the court. The former Australian Open champion was accompanied by her husband, retired NBA player David Lee, with whom she has three children, and who has been accompanying her in recent days during her off-court stay at Wimbledon.
Wozniacki has also been part of the television broadcasting team during the tournament over the last week. The Dane played her last professional match at the US Open 2024, and since then has not given clear signals about whether she plans to resume her career or not. Back in April 2025, she announced the birth of her third child, although she left some doubts about whether she would be interested in returning to the court, even though she has not officially retired.
For his part, Sinner had a calm day in SW19 — this time on Court 1 and not Centre Court as on previous days. The defending champion defeated Brooksby 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in what was perhaps his best clash of the tournament so far.

"My forehand is not very good right now"

Ahead of the third round of Wimbledon, Wozniacki — who has been working as a broadcaster commentator during the last week — had the opportunity to chat with Sinner. Regarding this, former world No. 1 Andy Roddick commented on his podcast that Sinner made a confession to the Dane, expressing certain concerns about his forehand.
“On the forehand side last year in the first two rounds he hit 14 unforced errors. This year, through the first two rounds, on the forehand side, he has hit 43 unforced errors,” said Roddick on Served with Roddick. “That’s significant. Someone asked him in press how is the forehand and he said it’s not great.”
“He told Caroline Wozniacki that casually. She was like ‘hey how is it going?’ And he said ‘my forehand is not very good right now’. I was like okay, I would have probably lied to her about that,” Roddick added. “He is searching for a little something. His serve bailed him out a little bit. Borges did play pretty well and served for the second set and got tight.”

Is Wozniacki retired?

The Dane Caroline Wozniacki first retired in 2020 after playing the Australian Open — the tournament she won as her only Grand Slam title in 2018, defeating Simona Halep in the final. After her retirement, Wozniacki got married and had two children, but after three and a half years she surprised the tennis world by returning to the courts.
Her comeback took place at the 2023 Canadian Open, and weeks later she played the US Open, surprisingly reaching the fourth round before losing to eventual champion Coco Gauff.

Wozniacki played several tournaments in 2023 and 2024, including the Olympic Games. Her last appearance came at the US Open 2024, where she again reached the fourth round before being eliminated by Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia.
Wozniacki then stepped away at the end of the season and a few months later announced her pregnancy. In April of this year, she gave birth to her third child with her husband David Lee, and since then she has occasionally appeared as a guest commentator in tournaments such as Wimbledon and the US Open.
