Tennis legend
Rafael Nadal recently had a statue of himself unveiled in his hometown of Mallorca.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion is currently recuperating after suffering an injury at the 2023 Australian Open. Nonetheless, the Spaniard had time to visit the
Mallorca Championships where he first attended his compatriot Feliciano Lopez's first-round match in his farewell tournament.
Nadal paid a visit to his academy, also located in Mallorca, where he unveiled the new statue of himself. This would be the second status made of Nadal, as Roland Garros revealed an iconic statue of the 14-time champion in May 2021. A small replica of the original Roland Garros statue was later gifted to his academy, in March of 2023.
