It only took Nick Kyrgios a few games into his main ATP return to produce some of the showman antics which thrilled the crowd at the Brisbane International in the standout tie teaming with Novak Djokovic.
Kyrgios and Djokovic are currently embroiled in a last set tiebreak against Alexander Erler and Andreas Mies as they look to seal the win with the unorthodox team comprising former enemies turned friends start their campaign.
The Aussie has not played since June 2023 but is a real showman at heart from his incredible serve to his perchance for producing trick shots. This was the case here as he produced an excellent tweener en route to sealing the point.
It also left Djokovic purring as Kyrgios wheeled around the court in celebration as the 24-time Grand Slam champion waited for a high five. Incredible enough to see them teaming up but also a showcase of what the Aussie can do which has been sorely missed.
