Does Carlos Alcaraz has one mind about potentially catching a flight over to watch the Euro 2024 Final? It seems like he might given the scoreline thus far in the Wimbledon final.
The defending champion is showing why he is and oozing confidence and valour as he is taking Novak Djokovic to school in two identical sets of tennis. Could it yet be a bad omen for the England team later who will face Spain in the Euro 2024 final.
He sealed both sets 6-2, 6-2 in just 76 minutes with the second set in particular being even more emphatic. The first was only so long due to the opening game with saw Djokovic lose serve after a 19 point game. Alcaraz took the impetus from there and only gave Djokovic one break point chance which he didn't take. Utterly rampant from the Spaniard.
Djokovic has not looked like a 37-year-old fresh from surgery all tournament but he is today. Unlike last year's final, it is not about Djokovic and it is all about Alcaraz.
With the final of the Euro 2024 football in just over four hours, he will likely be wrapped up with press and the match by the time Spain come on. Was that in his mind prior to the match? He jibed England fans about Spain having a great Sunday but can he complete part one of two. Or will he see a Djokovic comeback and an England win later? Time will tell.
