Carlos Alcaraz has a few days in order to be right for the
Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell which begins on April 15 also known as Conde de Godo, he is defending champion and could be one of two big names to depart the field this weekend if he withdraws.
Rafael Nadal is the other with the legendary Spaniard being in Barcelona and practicing on the court that adorns his name. But he himself admitted that it will be a late decision if he does play giving David Ferrer who is tournament director a potential nightmare. Alcaraz was pictured in a video shared on social media at the Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy. He was seen testing out the forearm which he injured and took him out of the Monte-Carlo Masters with some venom and ferocity as he looks to see if he can play next week. Madrid Open which takes place the week after will be the priority, but of course with Alcaraz being a home hope there will be a lot of fans keeping their fingers crossed. After such a good run as of late, he couldn't begin his clay court season at the Monte-Carlo Masters.
He was due to face Felix Auger-Aliassime, but was seen with a sleeve on his right forearm and had to cancel some sessions in the lead up to the tournament in a blow after his superb Indian Wells win and also is a similar setback to the South American clay court swing where he withdrew with an ankle injury.
