Rafael Nadal is back on the tennis court practising ahead of his return to tennis at the Citi Open in Washington.
The Spaniard skipped the better part of summer action missing out on the entire grass seasons as well as the Olympics. Nadal wanted to preserve his body and prolonge his career with the move and his coach Carlos Moya explained the Spaniard was drained physically and mentally.
He spent some quality life back home in Mallorca and now is ready for the challenges the North American swing presents. He will compete at the Citi Open in Washington to get some matches in before the proper swing starts with two ATP 1000 Masters events in Toronto and Cincinnati.
After that comes the US Open where Nadal will aim to win another Grand Slam competition as well as Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. Check out the King of Clay practising on hard courts below.
