Olympic Gold Medalists Andrey Rublev and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova arrived in Russia to a warm welcome by a sizeable crowd.
Andrey Rublev and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova wrote Russian tennis history by winning the Mixed doubles gold medals in Tokyo. The duo was not projected to end up on the podium however a very impressive run and chemistry allowed them to return to Russian with the biggest prize.
Waiting for them at the airport was a large crowd of people waiting to salute the champions. People were waving flags, presenting Pavlyuchenkova with flower bouquets. Everybody was trying to get close to the duo and congratulate them which was impossible due to the size of the crowd.
