Andrey Rublev joked around after his win over Taylor Fritz at the Monte-Carlo Masters yesterday not wanting to answer a question that he feels jinxed him two years ago.
Rublev was speaking on the court after the match and he was asked how confident he was about his chances in the final and the Russian quickly responded zero. He then explained that he was asked that two years ago in Monte-Carlo when he also made the final and responded but then easily lost in the final.
He didn't want to respond again in order to avoid jinxing himself as he did two years ago. He laughed all the way through indicating that he was joking but tennis players and many other athletes do have some superstitions so he'll let his tennis do the talking. The match begins at 14:30 CET.
