Tough scenes in Miami.. Cazaux fainted and was forced to retire..
The first player to encounter the scorching Miami heat and the effects of it was Arthur Cazaux in shocking scenes on Monday which saw the rising star collapse at the Miami Open during qualifying.
Cazaux was facing fellow Frenchman, Harold Mayot in the first round. The latter took the first set after breaking twice. The 21-year-old hit back to force a decider. However, he couldn't finish the match likely due to excessive heat. After looking to receive the serve of Mayot, he suddenly collapsed and laid on his back. The chair umpire and Mayot looked over to check on him.
He was later taken away on a wheelchair and Mayot was handed the walkover. Cazaux made a splash at the start of the year reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open including defeating Holger Rune. But he didn't deal with similar scorching heat here in scary scenes.
