Alexander Zverev wasn't able to help his nation in the Davis Cup in his native Hamburg but he was still there helping out.
Alexander Zverev appeared to be in good health at the Davis Cup in Hamburg this week in a rare public appearance since suffering a terrible injury at the Roland Garros. Zverev was actually expected to recover in time to play in the Davis Cup but a bone oedema forced him to abandon those plans and focus on recovering in time for the 2023 season.
Germany played Australia on the final day of the competition and Thanasi Kokkinakis, part of Australia's team, was giving an interview to Zverev's older brother Mischa when the younger Zverev sneaked upon the pair and offered some that Kokkinakis could not refuse.
Kokkinakis was in the process of explaining that the 104 on his jacket means that he's the 104th player to represent Australia in the Davis Cup. What happened then? Well, see for yourself.
