Electronic line calling is coming to ATP clay courts in 2025 and not sooner simply due to the error margin being too big to introduce regularly in matches.
While electronic line calling needs a bit of work on clay courts it's still being shown in broadcast for tennis fans on close calls. A Twitter user demonstrated why that is a bad idea proving that the system is not ready for mass adoption yet. It's exactly the reason why it's only going to be introduced in 2025 after they finetune it a bit more.
In the post, the user screenshotted the close-up camera shot of the ball and the way it was shown on the TV. It clearly demonstrates the system calling a ball in when it was obviously out. Mistakes like that can't happen regularly in matches and there would be a high likelihood of that happening if it's introduced without finetuning.

Dear broadcasters, Would you PLEASE stop showing uncalibrated Hawkeye projections of ball marks on clay courts? There is a reason the system needs two more years of testing and finetuning before it’s officially introduced on the surface — its current margin of error is too big.
