Novak Djokovic will face
Holger Rune at the
Rome Open and it will be the first time they played since the Paris Masters where Rune beat him in the final.
The biggest trophy of Rune's career came in Paris when he defeated Novak Djokovic in the Paris Masters final. Some six months later, they face at the Rome Masters. It's a quarterfinal Rune wanted and he'll get it. Djokovic isn't playing at his best but he's playing well enough to beat the Dane, especially if he complicates matters as much as he did in his previous match.
Speaking ahead of the match, Djokovic said:
“He’s a top 10 player & deservedly so.. 1 of the hardest workers out there. Nice guy, I get along well with him. He reminds me of me a bit. The way he plays, he’s really fit.. I look forward to a challenge. It’s going to be a physical match”
