"I must admit i have done it a few times myself": Stubbs and Gilbert joke after Sinner forgets Rome Open match is over

Jannik Sinner forgot the score of his match on Sunday at the Rome Open and former players Stubbs and Gilbert joked about it on social media.

Sinner didn't realize his match against Schevchenko was over taking a few moments to realize that he actually won it. When he realized the crowd was standing up and clapping, Sinner quickly rushed to the net to shake his opponent's hand wawing his head in disbelief that he actually forgot the score.

Stubbs wrote on Twitter:

"@janniksin not knowing the match was over!!!! @daren_cahill I’m dying!"

And added:

"i must admit i have done it a few times myself 😂"

Brad Gilbert added:

"That was interesting 🤨 Sin City 🌆 didn’t realize he had won the match went back to get his towel"
