David Ferrer faced members of the big three many times over the course of his career and he thinks it's not fair to compare them to the new generation.
The Big three will go down in the history of tennis as a very special era that essentially had three exceptional tennis players compete at the same time. Each of them has a valid claim to the mantle of 'greatest of all time' and comparing anyone to that would be unfair. Ferrer sees a lot of great things in the younger generation yet he was adamant in his talk to Sky Sports that comparing them was impossible.
He said:
"They're improving every year. We cannot compare this generation with Rafa, Roger, and Novak because that's impossible. They're the best three players in history." His fellow colleague Berdych believes that there will be more surprises moving forward as he expects the younger players to take another step forward. He said:
"We could now expect more unpredictable results. I really like the way Stefanos Tsitsipas plays because he plays very aggressively and creatively on court. The second half of his season has been a bit flat though."
