"She has an amazing talent" says David Ferrer on Emma Raducanu

In a recent interview with Sky Sports Ferrer spoke about many things regarding the upcoming 2022 season and one of the topics was Emma Raducanu her rise. Ferrer, like many, was very impressed with what the youngster was able to do and he thinks it's only the beginning for her. On Raducanu and her future he said:

"She has a great future, but the most important thing is to handle the pressure because it won't be easy when you're young and you've just won a Grand Slam. We'll see how she handles the pressure next year."

The next year is something many former professionals have underlined as critical for Raducanu because many wonder how well will she deal with the added pressure of being a grand slam winner. Raducanu herself maintained that she does not see herself as somebody that should be winning grand slams regularly playing down the pressure argument.

She also admitted to loving the adrenaline that comes with pressure which should theoretically work well for her. Ferrer tends to agree as he sees tremendous talent in her:

"It's going to be really important for her, but she has an amazing talent and can win [more] Grand Slams in her career."
