"Whether he plays tennis again or not is almost secondary" - Becker on future of Federer

Roger Federer will be one of the leading names not to be involved at the US Open and will miss many months due to knee surgery.

Boris Becker believes that his health is the number one priority as opposed to whether or not he returns to the tennis court to resume his career.

“I wish him that he gets well again. That's the most important thing. The rest of his life is still ahead of him, and whether he plays tennis again or not is almost secondary. He has already won so much and doesn't have to prove anything to anyone," said Becker in quotes reported by journalist, Luigi Gatto.
