Nick Kyrgios has predicted that Carlos Alcaraz will win this years open on a story he shared on his Instagram account.
The final Grand Slam of the season starts on the 29th of August and the Australian Nick Kyrgios can see the youngster clinching the win.
There is a lot of evidence to show why Kyrgios' 2022 US Open prediction could be correct.
Alcaraz has had a very strong season so far and will be hoping to continue that into the final Grand Slam of the campaign. The Spaniard has got himself 4 titles this season which is a personal best for the 19 year old and he will be desperate to get himself one more.
Moreover he made it to the semi finals of the Indian Wells where he faced 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal. Unfortunately for the youngster he didn't make it any further that time around but he will be hoping to improve at the latter stages in the US.
Although Nadal ruined his 10 match winning streak, Alcaraz didn't let that stop him as he beat 3 top 10 players to get his hands on the title in Miami.
His third title was claimed in Barcelona after his close battle in the semi's against Alex De Minuar. Alcaraz then went on to win comfortably in the final winning 6-2 and 6-3 against Pablo Carreno Busta.
His 4th and hopefully for him penultimate title this season was arguably his most impressive. In Madrid he beat two Grand Slam winners to get the all important title win. Beating Nadal, Djokovic and then Alexander Zverev in the final meant the Spaniard got his 4th title of the season.
