Nick Kyrgios returned from knee surgery last week but already is out of tournaments in worrying signs ahead of Wimbledon for the entertaining Aussie.
Kyrgios is seen by many on grass at least as the one player who could stop Novak Djokovic but worryingly looked a shadow of his former self. He now bows out of the
Halle Open.
Taking place between June 19-25, he was set for a clash with Lorenzo Sonego in a tournament headlined by Daniil Medvedev. But instead likely will only play Mallorca before SW19.
"I feel my knee every point. I can't walk without pain," Kyrgios was heard saying during the match against Yibing Wu.
"Be patient with me my fans please," he tweeted after the match.
It’s a process to get back to where I was. I know it’s hard for you to see me perform like today, but I need more time and hopefully can get back to where I was."
With only a few weeks till Wimbledon, the worrying signs are there.
