"You can celebrate with your whole team as opposed to just celebrating by yourself": Fritz on different emotions after United Cup win

Taylor Fritz secured the crucial point for the US team in their win over Italy and Fritz explained the difference between celebrating a team win compared to a singles win.

Fritz was spectacular in the event along with all of his teammates as the US team cruised to the finish line. No nation really stood a chance against the Americans and Fritz was happy to lift the trophy with his teammates. He explained it after the match saying that the overall experience is just much more fun:

“It was super exciting. just like team events are always so much more fun when you win, because it’s so much more — it’s just so much more exciting, there’s so much more emotions, everyone. You can celebrate with your whole team as opposed to just celebrating by yourself."

He added:

“It was great. As soon as I won, I turned to the team and I knew everyone was going to run at me. Like I said, it was great until Frances full-speed head-butted me in the face.”
