Novak Djokovic has paid tribute to
Viktor Troicki in a social media post thanking him for everything as Troicki announced his retirement.
Novak Djokovic and Viktor Troicki shared many great tennis moments together such as when they lead Serbia to the 2010 Davis Cup triumph. They practiced together, they played together, they played against each other. Now as the 35-year old announced retirement Djokovic decided to pay tribute.
Troicki announced earlier that Wimbledon will be his last event but he needed to play the qualifiers. He played some good matches but ultimately failed to reach the main draw. Due to that the former world number 12 announced his retirement. Djokovic paid tribute to him by writing:
"My friend, my comrade. You have been a very important part of my personal growth & tennis story. Hvala brate It may be the end of a fantastic career, but you are no doubt to inspire new champions my friend. Thank you for everything Ćivša! Good luck!
