"Yours goes down to your ankles so I don't wanna hear it": Shelton and Gauff engage in amusing social media banter

Despite both competing at the 2023 Madrid Open, American tennis sensation Coco Gauff took some time to engage in a little playful online banter with compatriot Ben Shelton over their hair.

The drama began when Shelton took to Instagram to post pictures of himself practicing in Madrid, as he continues his maiden European clay-court campaign.

"See you tomorrow," wrote Shelton.

Gauff responded to the post, joking that Shelton's hair was too long to fit in the frame.

"Hair so long it can’t even fit in the pic," Gauff wrote.

Shelton was quick to retort, pointing out that Gauff's hair was so long, it almost touched her ankles.

"@cocogauff urs goes down to ur ankles so I don’t wanna hear it," Shelton wrote.
