Zverev battles past Nishioka, set to face Medvedev in third round at Cincinnati Open

Alexander Zverev is through to the third round of the Cincinnati Open (Western and Southern Open). He battled past Yoshihito Nishioka on Wednesday.
Zverev saw off the Japanese ace 7-5, 6-4 firing in ten aces en route. He kept his winning streak alive in Cincinnati.
Winning the last edition of the Western & Southern Open that he played. He had never won a singles match before that year and won the title straight through.
The German thrashed Grigor Dimitrov to get to this point, while for Nishioka, he saw off Barrere. Zverev took an early break in the tie, but he didn't hold onto it being broken at the worst time when serving for the set.
It prolonged the first set by two more games, but Zverev finally got it at 7-5. The second set saw both players have break opportunities early on but neither were able to seal it.
But finally, Zverev broke at 4-4 with Nishioka hitting a volley into the net to give Zverev a 5-4 lead. He served it out from there.
Next up is Daniil Medvedev who produced a commanding victory over Lorenzo Musetti. It was a 6-3, 6-2 victory with the Russian hitting 25 winners to Musetti's 10 in just over 78 minutes on Grandstand. They now set up a blockbuster tie.
