Sorry?? Like, sorry you're losing?? Finally we see the old Sabalenka returning to the courts. Her naive and sarcastic little post-match "speeches" have fooled the masses (and those with no memory of her true 'personality'). Her play and several fortunate occasions of attrition cannot last forever -- and they are not. You will not be able to walk back your ridiculous snottyass remarks we saw on live television. No Tik Tok dance with Amanda is going to fool anyone. I hope she remains true to herself, and hopefully ignores making any follow-up PHONY APOLOGIES. You said what you said, and acted like a Queen (which you are not). Saba will remain #1 in theory because he has a wide point spread. However many of us have watched the gradual weak play this season. Just enough to win in most cases. But the decline will subside at some point, and she will settle somewhere in the Top 10. Sorry -- NOT sorry.

If players are suffering from anti-Social Media abuse -- it's their own fault. Avoid it. If it's the stress of the new endless road life due to back-to-back tourneys, totally understand. First the body reaches its limits -- then comes the mental complexities. Pro Tennis has become like the music business. Corporate (WTA & ATP) will "love" you at the same time they use you while they can, then chew you up and spit you out.

Castle: “It's only people that lose who complain..." Sorry, Andy, we know that is an alternative 'fact' in your biased mind.

The negative body language needs to go. No one has a godgiven right to win every point. And yeah, this is a crisis now. I really thought she was half back. All attention to Mirra now..

Since this piece was written (or a day or two prior) the World Athletics, IOC, and World Boxing made genetic testing mandatory. TENNIS should follow suit. The immediate result was the refusal of the Algerian boxing medal winner to be tested or be refused access to a competition in the Netherlands. He refused the testing.

You're goofy. FYI: Dutch women are taller in general.
