Awe-inspiring Alejandro Davidovich Fokina comes from two sets down to down Felix Auger-Aliassime in late night Australian Open epic

There is already a match of the tournament, and we are only in the second round of the Australian Open 2025. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has completed a magical comeback against Felix Auger-Aliassime, who had beaten him in the first two sets.

In the third round we can continue to enjoy the tennis of Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Despite his tough pairing against Auger-Aliassime, the Spaniard has knocked out the Canadian by a score of 6-7, 6-7, 6-4, 6-1, 6-3.

After the first two sets, Davidovich Fokina continued to insist on his good play. In the end, he went all the way to a tiebreak in both, so Auger-Aliassime was not being superior either. At 3-3, Davidovich found his moment to break the Canadian's serve, and he was to maintain the advantage to close the set 6-4 with an empty set.

Taking advantage of the "moméntum", the Spaniard gave his opponent two breaks in a row in the fourth set, to take a 4-0 lead. Davidovich was growing more and more, and went to the fifth and final set breaking Auger-Aliassime's serve, so he was going to start serving in the final set.

The equality was to be maintained in the fifth set until 4-6 in favor of Davidovich. There, the Spaniard broke his opponent's serve and left him down. With his serve, Alejandro culminated a memorable comeback, and the match of the Australian Open 2025 without any doubt.

It also came just after the epic between Thanasi Kokkinakis and Jack Draper in what was a night of late night epics culminating in the Brit and the Spaniard moving through. While Auger-Aliassime after such good form as of late will be cursing his luck after succumbing to the comeback.
