Coco Gauff has appeared in some photos that show her celebrating her US Open victory in style with her childhood friend.

19-year-old Gauff had a dream run at the US Open earlier this month. The American had already achieved a lot of success on the North American swing in August, winning both the WTA 500 DC Open and the WTA 1000 Cincinnati Open, meaning she entered the New York major with a lot of expectation on her shoulders.

However, the young star lived up to the hype by soaring through the rounds, ousting the likes of Caroline Wozniacki and Karolina Muchova on her run to the final. Once there, she faced new World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and fought back from a set down to clinch the title 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

After the American won her first-ever Grand Slam title, she took some time to celebrate her victory with her childhood best friend Jamilah Nicole Snells, who is also a tennis player. 

The two friends stayed at the luxurious Ray Hotel in Delray Beach, Florida. The hotel is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. Snells posted some pictures of their stay on her Instagram page with the caption "My champ."

In the photos, Gauff is seen wearing a pink floral dress while her friend wears a black sequin one as they pose for the camera. The World No. 3 commented on the post saying: "We ateeee", and "love youu".

Fans were delighted to see Gauff enjoying herself and relaxing after her huge victory at Flushing Meadows.

"PRETTIES," commented another, followed by three pink heart emojis.

"You are so adorable and beautiful; so much Love, beauty, style and talent right here! Big congrats Coco on your amazing achievement! Blessings," added another.
