Britain’s
Katie Boulter has sent an interesting response to
her boyfriend
Alex de Minaur after he shared a heartfelt message on their anniversary.
The two have been dating for a while and are regarded as one of the power couples
in the world of tennis.
De Minaur shared a picture of them together on the social media
platform Instagram, celebrating the fifth anniversary of them together. In response
to that, Boulter sent a cheeky response. “Been a loooong 5 years of snoring,”
she wrote.
Both players recently featured at the Indian Wells. Boulter
was knocked out after losing in the second round to Elena Rybakina in straight
sets with a score of 6-0, 7-5. On the other hand, De Minaur was knocked out after
losing in the third round to Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets with
a score of 7-5, 6-3.
Boulter and De Minaur have remained vocal about the impact
of their partners on their personal and professional lives. Not long ago, Boulter
spoke to Sky Sports, and she highlighted how her fiancé has helped her
progress in her career.
"Anyone who has watched our journey has seen us grow
together on the court and off the court,” said Boulter. “For me, it's such a
lovely feeling to know that everything is going well on the court, and we can
still enjoy time away from the court together. I feel like we've really helped
each other in so many different ways. Firstly, he's there for advice. He's got
some credence, so I have to take his advice on board, and I don't mind
listening to him once in a while. I don't know if he takes it well from me, but
he knows what he's doing. He's already been on the journey that I'm on right
now. I've probably been on it a bit longer, so I have a slightly different
perspective, which I can help him with, and he can help me with the ranking
side of things. It's pushed my boundaries even more and given me belief that I
can be where he's at right now."
