Belinda Bencic joined Slovak women's team competition (Slovak Extraliga) with TK Slovan Bratislava and helped them to win the title.

Dominic Thiem joined the Austrian Pro Series and Belinda Bencic has decided to compete in the Slovak Extraliga.
In the team competition, she joined team TK Slovan Bratislava where she played alongside Slovakia's no. 1, Viktoria Kuzmova. Bencic was born to Slovak parents in Switzerland and visits Slovakia regularly as she also speaks in her mother tongue with her coach and father, Ivan Bencic.
In the first round of the competition, Bencic played in 2 matches. After the first 3 matches, TK Slovan Bratislava was losing already 0-3 and was just one loss away from dropping out of the competition. Then, Viktoria Kuzmova defeated Timea Jaruskova 6-2, 7-5 and Belinda Bencic outplayed Slovak no. 2, Anna Karolina Schmiedlova 3-6, 6-3, 7-6.
Kuzmova then succeeded in doubles with Jana Jablonovska and Bencic joined Nikola Tomanova to deliver a 6-4, 6-2 victory, and an overall 4-3 victory for TK Slovan Bratislava.
In the second round, world number 8 faced Laura Svatikova and showed her great experience as she triumhed 6-2, 6-0. In the final of the competition, Bencic destroyed her opponent once again as she defeated Tereza Mihalikova 6-0, 6-0.
