one-night exhibition event at Madison Square Garden in New York, with Carlos
Alcaraz and

The iconic
venue will host a tennis exhibition match for the first time since 2018,
starting with a showdown between American stars Pegula (No. 7) and
Emma Navarro
(No. 8). Following the women’s match, four-time Grand Slam champion Alcaraz

The Garden
Cup will take place in the home arena of the New York Knicks (NBA) and New York
Rangers (NHL), one of the most iconic stadiums in the world, which regularly
hosts concerts by renowned artists.
It has been
several years since tennis exhibitions have been held at Madison Square Garden,
a venue that has seen players like Serena and Venus Williams, Rafael Nadal,
Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic, among others. The Garden Cup will also be
streamed live worldwide via Tennis Channel.
The Pegula
vs. Navarro match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM local time, followed by
Alcaraz vs. Shelton at approximately 9:00 PM. The exhibition was confirmed in
mid-September, just days after the conclusion of the US Open, where Pegula
reached the final and Navarro the semifinals. Alcaraz exited in the second
round, while Shelton advanced to the third round.
