In a day which sees 87 matches needing to be completed at Wimbledon, they are already on the back foot with play continuously being delayed.
Currently there will be no play until 12:30pm which was already delayed from the 11:00am local start time to 11:45am initially.
This will not affect Centre Court proceedings or Court No.1 with both having designated start times of 1:30pm and for the latter 1:00pm but still means it will be a race against time even if it starts at 12:30pm.
Weather wise, it is slightly puzzling with no chance of rain until 14:00pm and 16:00pm as per the Met Office with 40% and 30% chance respectively.
But it will likely also be the conditions after heavy rainfall yesterday and like Djokovic on the opening day, slippery and greasy under foot.
One hope that the tournament will have is having two of the big hitters who finish their matches relatively quickly on Centre Court and Court One.
This like yesterday with Dan Evans could give them scope to put multiple matches on the Centre Court tonight with curfew not until 11:00pm due to the roof and light inside the arena.
Otherwise though, a frantic start to an already frenetic day at the Championships.
