In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, Carlos Alcaraz attended the Premier Padel Tour as a spectator to watch the semifinals, while Holger Rune enjoyed the latest Travis Scott concert after his early exit from the Miami Open.
On the other hand, we review a couple of controversial moments from the day, such as Amanda Anisimova's sharp response to Mirra Andreeva after the blister controversy, and the moment when Iga Swiatek was verbally harassed.
Carlos Alcaraz was at the Premier Padel Event earlier this week in Miami, and a video posted by user PavyG on his X account shows the arrival of the Spaniard, who took a short break from the tennis courts to watch, for the first time, a professional padel tournament live, as the 4-time Grand Slam champion mentioned.
It was the Motorola Razr Miami Premier Padel P1 event where the Spaniard, recently eliminated from the Miami Open Masters 1000, sat in the VIP stands to experience the men's semifinals of Premier Padel from the front row. Alcaraz shared in an interview with BeIN Sport: "The truth is, I really love padel, I play it whenever I have a chance. It's the first time I'm watching a big event live, and I'm really excited."

On another note, Alcaraz participated in a promotional video in which he competed with his brother, Alvaro, in several challenges, including juggling a football with his feet and knocking down a bowling pin by hitting a tennis ball with a racket. Check below to see who won the sibling challenge.
One of the most striking moments of the day came when Iga Swiatek faced verbal harassment from a man during her training session at the Miami Open. The man, positioned by the side of the court, shouted at Swiatek, making comments referencing personal family issues with her mother. The man had to be escorted off the tournament grounds while Swiatek ignored him.
The tournament organizers and the WTA decided to implement extra security measures for Swiatek to prevent such incidents from happening again. The world No. 2 is now preparing to face Elina Svitolina in the round of 16 this Tuesday.
Amanda Anisimova responded to the controversy over her call for a physiotherapist with an ironic video. The American defeated Mirra Andreeva 7-6, 2-6, 6-3, ending the 13-match winning streak of the 17-year-old player. However, the match was marred by controversy after Anisimova requested a medical time-out due to a blister on her hand during one of Andreeva's service games.
The Russian was not happy with the interruption when she was down 1-3 in the third set. While voicing her complaints to the chair umpire, Andreeva said, "We all know why," as she walked back to the baseline. The world No. 6 managed to defend her service game upon returning but could not complete the comeback, being eliminated in the third round of the tournament.
Hours after the match, Anisimova responded to Andreeva's comments via an Instagram story, where she sarcastically showed the blister on her finger and sent a message to the 17-year-old: "'We all know why', at 3-1 up was a Good one coming from the 1-2 first set medical," she posted, accompanied by three laughing emojis.
At the start of the match, Andreeva had requested a medical break when she was leading 2-1 due to abdominal pain, which had already delayed the match for several minutes when Anisimova was serving.

Jack Draper shared a reflection on social media after his early exit from the Miami Open. The world No. 6 had been in remarkable form after six consecutive wins that led him to his first Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells. However, the 23-year-old Briton didn’t have the expected return to the courts and fell to 19-year-old Czech Jakub Mensik in a tight match, 7-6(2), 7-6(3).
Draper posted a couple of photos from his time in Miami and acknowledged that it hadn’t been a result he was satisfied with. “Not to be this week but still learning and experiencing new things all the time. For now it’s time to keep improving for what’s to come. See you next year @miamiopen 👋” he psoted
Holger Rune attended a concert by popular American rapper Travis Scott, just days after his elimination from the Miami Open by Reilly Opelka in the opener. The Danish player had a tight match but ended up losing 6-4, 3-6, 6-7(5), marking an early exit from the tournament, just a week after reaching the semifinals at Indian Wells.
Nevertheless, the Danish player took advantage of his time in Miami to attend Travis Scott's latest concert. The world No. 12 will return to the court in a couple of weeks when he competes in the Monte-Carlo Masters, a tournament where he reached the final in 2023 and where he defends his quarterfinals finish from last year (lost to Jannik Sinner).
