Djokovic reaches major milestone in latest ATP Rankings

Djokovic who began his current stint as World No.1 on 5 November 2018 has passed Jimmy Connors (268 weeks) to make it 269th weeks at the summit.

He is now only two weeks away from breaking Ivan Lendl's mark of 270 weeks and then he will target Pete Sampras (286 weeks) and number one, Roger Federer (310 weeks)'s marks.

Djokovic is into his fourth run as World No.1 with his best coming in his third stint where he was 167-17 but his Overall record stands at 338-47 showing his dominance at the top of tennis.

His next focus will be catching Rafael Nadal to finish as 2019 year end No.1 for a record equalling sixth time but it is an uphill battle with the former leading by 1,960 points with less than two months to go.
